Occupational Therapy
I create an intimate, playful space in which every child can develop and practice new skills for living a happy life. My relationship-based approach supports social and emotional development and provides a role model for parents and caregivers.
A combination of therapeutic methods are used in consultations, ongoing therapy sessions and home programs to address your child's specific needs. For example, maybe your baby cannot figure out how to move or transition to solid foods, or your toddler is having difficulty playing with toys or becomes overwhelmed at home, school or playground. Or maybe, your tween is experiencing stress or anxiety that is impacting their sleep and daily function.
Every session provides me with the opportunity to draw from my vast clinical experience and specialized trainings. I love sharing my big picture perspective and network of referrals and resources with families and other professionals.
After more than 30 years of practice, I am continually inspired by the growth of each child and family I work with - truly heartwarming.
Jin Shin Jyutsu
Our bodies contain thousands of energy pathways that feed life into our cells. These distinct pathways, known in Jin Shin Jyutsu as flows, unify and integrate the body. When one or more of these flows become “jammed", this may result in discomfort, pain or other symptoms in our body, mind or emotions. Through the use of gentle touch, Jin Shin Jyutsu accesses the natural intelligence of 26 specific areas on the body, as well as the spine, fingers, and toes, that enable congested energy to flow freely.

Our vitality, thoughts, and attitudes begin to shift when the circulation of energy is flowing more easily. In turn, we feel more centered and renewed as breathing is enhanced and the nervous system quiets during a session. Many changes can occur from this state, including but not limited to: ease stress and insomnia, alleviate pain or discomfort from body tension, headaches or digestive issues, strengthen the immune system, detox from medications or vaccinations, and improve attention, body awareness and movement.
Self-Care
We naturally place our hands on our body throughout the day. For example, we hold a place that aches, rest our hand on our forehead when we're thinking, or touch someone’s shoulder to calm them. In fact, we are doing Jin Shin Jyutsu all the time without realizing we are doing something. However, to truly help ourselves we need to learn the Jin Shin Jyutsu system of self-help.
Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help can be done anywhere, at any time. All you need are your hands and some basic knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Learning self-care in a group setting, online or during an individual session is the first step.
